Today is Trans Day of Remembrance. This global event honours the lives of Trans people and their allies who has lost their lives to Transphobic violence and discrimination. Over 200 Trans people were lost in the past year - today we honour them and stand together in the fight for Trans rights. Trans rights are basic human rights and must be honored, legislated and respected.
In Ontario, Trans people face high rates of violence, discrimination and lack of access to health care - to name only a few. Please visit www.transpulse.ca to learn more.
Rainbow Health Ontario operates Trans Health Connection across the province. This program aims to provide training, mentorship and other supports to improve the quality of Trans Health Care in the province. You can learn more about the program at www.rainbowhealthontario.ca
