Local high school student speaks queerLocal high school student, Hannah Wilson, Barrie Central CI, has written a unique article for her school paper. This article, as well as many articles published in the Central Inquisitor, have discussed the kinds of things many students have a hard time talking about. She says in her article: "Becoming aware and respectful of the queer community is key to stopping the verbal violence we face every day. We need to acknowledge that the queer community is a huge spectrum, and that anyone could be part of it." Wilson also sheds light to the hot-topic word queer, which many find to be an offensive term.
