Simcoe Pride Today - July 31

Yesterday we kicked off the fourth annual Simcoe Pride Week, taking place from July 30 to August 8, 2015. This year’s Pride Week has municipal support from 16 communities by proclamation, including proclamations and 13 flag raisings. Yesterday three flags went up in Town of/de Ville Penetanguishene, the County of Simcoe, and the Town of Midland. 

This year’s theme, “Freedom To Be,” has helped shape the ten day festival and hopes to bring our community together. As a part of brining our community together, our friends at Fiérte Montréal Pride translate our proclamation into French - read here.

Simcoe Pride Week is a ten-day long festival of events throughout Simcoe County. Today's events include:

Friday, July 31 - Flag Raisings and Pride Party
Innisfil - 2101 Innisfil Beach Road at 11:00am
Bradford West Gwillimbury - 57 Holland Street East at 12:00pm
New Tecumseth - 10 Wellington Street East (Alliston) at 1:00pm
Tiny - 130 Balm Beach Road West at 2:00pm
Oro-Medonte - 148 Line 7 South at 3:00pm

Pride Party - Wild Thingz, Barrie from 8:00pm to 2:00am
