Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of Fierté Simcoe Pride includes individuals who are committed to the LGBT+ community of the Simcoe County area. Members are residents or professional workers of Simcoe County. Official elections are held each year at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Preference is given to individuals who identify as Gender and Sexually Diverse (GSD) or allies. Other community members who are interested are able to volunteer or participate through sub-committees.

Members
The following members were elected at the Annual General Meeting on Friday, September 15th, 2023, or appointed afterwards.
Caleb Kenehan - President
Caleb Kenehan (They/Them or He/Him) was born and raised in Barrie and currently lives and works in Simcoe County. They identify as queer (demi-bisexual), transmasculine, and non-monogamous.
Outside of their work with FSP, Caleb is pursuing a degree in Modern Languages and Translation. Caleb parle français. They also speak some Spanish, and Portuguese. Caleb also volunteers with other groups like acting as a social media director for TransQ. In their free time, Caleb likes playing board games and tabletop RPGs.
Caleb was elected to the Board as Director in January 2022, appointed Social Media Director in October 2022, and President in 2023.

Aiden Brown - Secretary
Aiden Brown (They/Them) is a queer non-binary Executive Director and Secretary for the 2023/2024 board of directors for Fietre Simcoe Pride. Aiden works in animal care full-time while parenting 3 neurodivergent children. Aiden is on the autism spectrum and is an advocate for better mental health resources within our community with better access to these resources for our marginalized community members.
They have a giant Goldendoodle and a microscopic Maltese Chihuahua (who joins them everywhere), and in their spare time, they love to create art with multimedia textiles, and photograph nature at every opportunity they get.
They are so excited for this year's upcoming term and aim to help create and sustain queer access to the community through future events and proposed activities. Here's to a great term!

Christian Kenehan - Chair / Treasurer
Christian Kenehan (They/Them) is a Barrie-based non-binary asexual individual. They have volunteered with organizations like Asexual Outreach, Asexual Visibility and Education Network, and the trans pride subcommittee of FSP. They currently serve as a facilitator of TransQ and the founder of OpenspACE Simcoe. In their spare time, they are an avid reader, nerd, and tabletop game fanatic. They also enjoy spending time taking care of their chinchillas & cat. Christian is pursuing a degree in accounting and plans to become a CPA. They are excited to serve the pride community and further the work being done by FSP in their position as Director.

M - Vice Chair / Social Media Director / Membership Director
M (They/Them) is currently working as an Elementary Supply Teacher for SCDSB, and contract Art Instructor with the Orillia Museum of Art and History (OMAH). M promotes the use of art as a creative form for self-expression and discovery: ask them about Art Hives! M primarily paints (public art/murals) to voice environmental topics, as they are involved in some outdoor education initiatives.
M was elected to the Board as Director in October 2022, appointed Orillia Representative in March 2023, Social Media Director in September and Vice Chair in September 2023.

Amy Rae Miller - Director
Amy Rae (They/Them) is a queer, NonBinary, Disabled and Chronically ill person who lives in Midland, Ontario with their partner and child. Their background is in Child and Youth Work and Early Childhood Education but now they work independently in Disability education and Birth work.
Outside of pride and other community volunteer work, they are a writer and poet. They also enjoy spending time with their family and trying different creative DIY projects.
Rae was elected to the Board as Director in December 2019, appointed Director in June 2022 and elected Director in October 2022, and September 2023.
